Tim Blaylock Bio

Tim Blaylock is a transformational nonprofit executive, strategist, and coach whose leadership has strengthened communities, expanded youth opportunity, and elevated organizations across the country.

Over a 30-year career, Tim has guided mission-driven teams through growth, turnaround, and reinvention—raising morethan $145M, scaling organizations from deficit to surplus, and building cultures rooted in
trust, accountability, and purpose.

Tim currently serves as Founder and Principal of Tim Blaylock & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in organizational development, fundraising strategy, board governance, executive coaching, and long-term capacity building for nonprofits. His work empowers leaders to think boldly, operate strategically, and build organizations that are financially strong, culturally healthy, and deeply aligned with their mission.

Before launching his consulting practice, Tim served as CEO for several high-impact
organizations, including the
Humane Society of Ventura County, NFTE’s West
Division, the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Valley, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of
Greater Oxnard & Port Hueneme
—one of the largest Clubs in the nation. His
leadership has consistently delivered measurable results: expanding organizational
footprints from 4 sites to 18, increasing youth served from 1.5K to more than 9K,
eliminating deficits, and building multimillion-dollar budgets that fuel long-term
sustainability.

Tim is known for his ability to see the whole system—people, culture, finances,
programs, and community—and design strategies that move organizations from survival
to strength. He has coached CEOs across the largest 100 Boys & Girls Clubs in
America, facilitated board retreats nationwide, and guided organizations through
strategic planning, capital campaigns, and major organizational transitions.
His work has been recognized with numerous national awards, including
Executive of
the Year
, the Horizon Award, multiple Gold National Marketing Awards, and eight
National Program Awards for Excellence. He has also served in elected office as a
two-time Chair of the Rio School District Board of Trustees.

At the heart of Tim’s leadership is a belief in equity, opportunity, and the power of
community. Whether he is coaching an emerging leader, guiding a board through
strategic alignment, or helping an organization reimagine its future, Tim brings clarity,
compassion, and a steady commitment to mission.
